Each land use allocation has accompanying management objectives and directions described in the corresponding resource management plan. Management objectives describe the resource conditions that the BLM envisions would eventually result from implementation of current or future land management actions consistent with the decisions in the resource management plan. Management direction identifies what land management actions are permitted and what restrictions or requirements may be placed on those actions to achieve the objectives set for the BLM-administered lands and resources.
